Also known as: Yona of the Dawn
Genre: Fantasy, Action, Romance
Release date: 7 October 2014
Studio: Studio Pierrot
|Synopsis: Yona is a sheltered princess, living a luxurious and care-free life, until the day the man she’s in love with murders her father to secure his access to the throne. Now she’s on the run with childhood friend and bodyguard Hak, and heads to his village to hide and start a new life.|
Is it just me or is there a shocking amount of regicide taking place this season? Where The Seven Sins seems like it’s going to be a more care-free series, this particular series seems aimed at enabling a bit of character growth, which I suspect is mostly going to be on the side of Yona herself, since she’s just been ripped out of her comfortable lifestyle.
It might be worth the watch, so I can see myself giving this a try.
