We’re into the final month of the Winter 2017 season. The season’s had a couple of series that have fallen flat for me – I can’t recall when I’ve dropped quite so many. But, at least there was still plenty left to entertain, so all-in-all, I can’t say it was a bad season. With that being said, let’s check some of the fan-art I found this week.
Anime News Network called this series a sleeper hit, and I don’t disagree. Nothing about the show stands out in particular – the CG animation is so-so, it doesn’t feature any well-known seiyuu, there was zero marketing push behind it. Yet, it has managed to gain itself a solid fanbase, and it’s very popular in Japan. It’s a silly little show, and I love it to bits. Serval (pictured below) seems to be most people’s favourite character in the show so far.

I just feel like the bad things are going to start happening soon. It’s been relatively smooth sailing so far, but Fuuka is definitely following in the footsteps of its predecessor – and there wouldn’t be any point to the love-triangle they’ve spent most of the season setting up. So expect things to go full emo very soon.
I haven’t read the manga, but I’ve got a very good idea of who the protagonist will end up with – because series like these do tend to be sadly predictable.

This is still one of my favourite series of the season – and with the last episode a new dragon got added to the cast. The series has managed to be consistently entertaining and funny, with a mixture of low-key and slightly-over-the-top humour to keep you wondering what’s coming next. It’s almost a pity that it’ll be coming to an end over the next few weeks.
